— The Challenge
A two-sided marketplace has to explain itself twice on the same homepage. A business arriving with a broken network switch and a technician looking for work want different things, and neither should have to read the other's pitch to find their own sign-up.
The promise is the hard part: an on-site technician, typically within the hour, in over 100 countries. The interface had to make that feel operationally real rather than like marketing copy.
— The Approach
Split the entry points at the top level — separate sign-in and sign-up paths for customers and technicians — so the two audiences never compete for the same button.
Reduced the service catalogue to five scannable groups (networks, TV and video, automation, computers, and specialist work like drone and health IT) instead of a long flat list of job types.
Made the promise concrete with a three-step 'create a request → assign a local technician → they arrive on site' explainer, backed by live signals: technicians currently available, recent quotes, and downloadable verified credentials.
Built the frontend performance-first for a global audience on uneven connections, with English and Spanish locales and a country list covering 100+ markets.
— The Result
A performance-focused frontend for a two-sided marketplace, with separate sign-in and sign-up paths for customers and technicians, so neither audience has to read the other's pitch.
A scannable service catalog, a three-step explainer and live availability signals make the promise concrete, and English and Spanish locales with 100+ countries support a global audience.
